Siobhan (pronounced sha-von) hails from the San Francisco Bay Area and brings her passion for youth development work and her commitment to advancing social justice to Campus Camp Wellstone. As the Training Coordinator, Siobhan works closely with students to bring Campus Camp to colleges around the country.
Siobhan’s roots are deeply embedded in citizen activism and advocacy. At an early age she stood alongside her mom fighting for affordable housing, gender equality and reproductive rights, fair labor practices and affordable healthcare. She continued to use her own voice as a tool to demand justice for women, people of color, low income/working class people, immigrants and for lgbt equality throughout high school and college.
As a graduate from Boston University in Social Science Secondary Education, Siobhan has worked with young people from elementary school-age to college students. She has taught high school history classes, run community programs for at-risk youth, and worked in enrichment based after school programs, combining her love for history, art & music, social justice and community awareness. Siobhan is committed to inspiring young people to take action on the issues they care about and create positive, collective change. Prior to joining the team at Wellstone Action, Siobhan worked with the Campaign for Change and the Ohio Democratic Party organizing youth vote on college campuses in East Cleveland and helping to turn Ohio BLUE.
