As Wellstone Action's Training Manager, Jen Haut puts to use her organizing skills to make Camp Wellstone run. While at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, she worked as a peace and justice student organizer, notably creating publications to educate the campus community on issues of environmentalism, fair trade, and political advocacy.
Jen moved to Minnesota in 2006 to participate in the St. Joseph Worker Program, a year-long volunteer experience for young women committed to social change. She worked at the College of St. Catherine in a civic engagement and service-learning office, pairing students with community-based internships that were integrated back into their coursework. During the 2008 election, Jen furthered her involvement in the community, working with the MN Civic Engagement Table's non-partisan efforts to increase voter turnout.
She credits her upbringing in Iowa, paired with an internship at NETWORK in Washington, D.C., for her passion for progressive politics. Jen continues to serve on the NETWORK Education Program Board and the St. Joseph Worker Program Advisory Board and is excited for where her Camp Wellstone travels will take her next.

capacities, from training environmental organizers to educating
hundreds of thousands of youth how to lobby effectively on climate
change; however, our repeat zero-waste camp gave us the physical and

Stacey, and Humphrey, five individuals from the organization Homeless Helping Homeless at Camp Wellstone in Raleigh, NC. I was immediately inspired by their stories
and their mission: ending
